Mikey Doble moved to the top of the order during the second Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship session of the weekend at Donington Park this afternoon (Saturday).
The Evans Halshaw Power Maxed Racing driver guided his Vauxhall Astra around the East Midlands circuit's longer Grand Prix layout in 1m42.843s, claiming first place with his final lap of the session. That was enough to place Doble just 0.006s clear of Daniel Rowbottom who had been leading the way as the chequered flag fell.
Rowbottom was followed in the order by two of his fellow NAPA Racing UK runners with session one topper Dan Cammish third, ahead of Ash Sutton's Ford Focus ST in fourth. Andrew Watson completed the top-five for TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK.
Behind that, Jake Hill moved up the order to sixth after finishing outside the top-ten in Free Practice 1, whilst Aron Taylor-Smith completed a strong showing for the Vauxhalls in sevenths. Chris Smiley, Aiden Moffatt and Adam Morgan completed the top-ten.
