Donington Park returns to racing action this weekend (21-22 June) with a packed schedule of races from the Historic Sports Car Club. Machinery spanning five decades of motorsport history will be in action, including Historic Formula Ford, Classic Formula Ford and Historic Formula Ford 2000, the dominant series for aspiring F1 drivers in the 1970s and 80s.

The ever-popular Guards Trophy championship will be a highlight on Sunday, with a stunning mixture of sports and GT cars from the 1960s competing across a 50-minute race, while Saturday’s action features Historic Saloons.

Similar cars from the 1950s will participate in the Griffiths Haig Trophy, and there’s 70s and Historic Road Sports action to look forward to also, for road legal production sports cars.

Further competition will be provided by the Alfa Romeo and Italian Intermarque series, which will also feature machinery from Fiat, Abarth, Lancia and Maserati, and more tin tops in the form of the 750MC BMW Car Club Racing category.
