Quattro Group British Supersport front-runner Luke Stapleford will contest the FIM Supersport World Championship as a wildcard entrant at Donington Park on 10-12 July.
The 2015 British Supersport champion has won three of the four races held in the domestic series so far this year, as he bids for another title.
His Scars Racing Ducati squad will team up with Feel Racing for the Wildcard appearance, during Donington Park's World Superbike event next month, teaming up with race winner Philipp Oettl, who is currently fifth in the standings.
The Leicestershire rider is no stranger to the world series, having finished inside the top-10 in the final standings in 2017 and 2018.
“I’m really excited to have the opportunity to race in World Supersport again" Stapleford said. "Having last competed in the championship back in 2018, I thought I might never get the chance again, so I can’t thank the team enough for making it happen.
"I know how competitive World Supersport has been over the past few years and how big a challenge it will be, but with the way everything has come together so far this season, I genuinely believe we can do a good job.
"Having already raced at Donington this year should give us a small advantage, and I’m really looking forward to getting out there and mixing it with the best."
World Supersport is the headline support race at the FIM Superbike World Championship event at Donington Park, with two contests across the weekend. That adds to the triple header for the World Superbike main event, plus further action from the FIM Women's Circuit Racing World Championship, and the FIM Yamaha R3 Blu Cru World Cup.
