Optimum Motorsport has confirmed the driver line-up for one of their 2026 British GT Championship entries, with Josh Stanton set to join reigning Silver class champion Luca Hopkinson in GT4.

The West Yorkshire-based outfit won all three GT4 titles in 2025, competing in a McLaren Artura GT4. Hopkinson scored his maiden overall GT4 win at Brands Hatch and finished third overall in the class championship.

New co-driver Stanton has spent the majority of his career racing in various one-make Porsche categories so far and finished fourth in the Carrera Cup GB’s Pro-Am standings last season.

Luca Hopkinson said: “I’m super excited to get my second GT4 campaign with Optimum Motorsport going. We have high expectations based on our performance last year and Josh’s ability makes me look forward to it. I’m going into this season feeling super confident and prepared.”

Josh Stanton said: “I am really excited to be joining Optimum Motorsport for British GT this year. They’re a fantastic team with a proven pedigree in the championship. Pairing up with Luca, bringing both his experience in the championship and the McLaren, is a huge bonus.”
