The ZYN British Superbike Championship storms to Donington Park this weekend, with East Midlanders Kyle Ryde and Leon Haslam currently flying high after the opening exchanges at Oulton Park just over a week ago.
Another epic triple header of headline British Superbike contests are on this weekend’s schedule, with the event set to crown the Carole Nash King of Donington.
Reigning double champion Kyle Ryde has remained with his title-winning Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing team for 2026, but the squad has switched from Yamaha to Ducati machinery over the winter, and the move paid dividends immediately in Cheshire. The British star powered to a treble victory to get his defence off to a perfect start.
Moto Rapido Racing’s Leon Haslam pushed him all the way though, as he finished second in all three contests. The 2018 champion was especially feisty in the third race at Oulton Park, where the lead was exchanged between the duo and with McAMS Yamaha’s 2022 winner Bradley Ray, who took third place in each race.
Hager PBM Ducati’s Scott Redding should be a big player at Donington Park this weekend, he was a winner at the venue last year and took all five victories at the circuit on the way to the 2019 title.
Storm Stacey (Bathams AJN Racing Ducati) and Max Cook (AJN Steelstock bimota) will be gunning for their first victories of the year. Meanwhile, Ryan Vickers has returned to the series with Honda UK and was in the mix at Oulton Park. Glenn Irwin (Nitrous Ducati) and double champion Josh Brookes (DAO Racing Honda) should never be discounted either.
While the unmissable ZYN BSB triple header is the main event, with the first race on Saturday afternoon and two further contests on Sunday, including the sprint, there’s plenty more to look forward to. The Quattro Group British Supersport headlines the support package with two races across the weekend, plus further action from Pirelli British Sportbike and the Pirelli National Superstock.
Additional content on the schedule includes the ROKiT OFF BMW F 900 R Cup, 1pMobile National Junior Sportbike and the R&G Moto4 British Cup.
The open paddock means fans can meet the riders all weekend, especially during the dedicated pit walk on Sunday at 11.20. Live entertainment will also be found in the Garage 39 restaurant, café and bar, with a DJ on Friday night and a live band on Saturday evening.
Big screens will also be located in the most popular viewing areas, with grandstand seating, limited outfield camping, and hospitality places still available.
Tickets are available in advance rates until 4pm on Wednesday, after which they’ll be available upon arrival at the circuit. For more information and to book, click here.
