British GT Free Practice: Clark on top at Donington Park

05 September 2026

The Century Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 Evo of Charles Clark and Jonathon Beeson topped the timesheets during the opening session of the British GT weekend at Donington Park with a 1m26.030s.

Trailing them in Practice were the Barwell Motorsport duo of Hugo Cook and Rob Collard, who were 0.616s shy of top spot in their Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2.

In third were the duo who lead the way at the top of the GT3 drivers’ standings. Morgan Tillbrook and Ben Barnicoat set the pace in the first half of the session in their McLaren 720s GT3 Evo, before the Century Motorsport BMW usurped them.

Rodin Motorsport’s Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo triggered a late-session red flag with a spin into the gravel. Their drivers, Cameron Campbell and Joshua Buchan, ended fourth fastest and were the last of the those to register a time in the 1m26s range.

Mike Price and Callum Macleod rounded out the top-five for Optimum Motorsport, pipping the Orange Racing by JMH entry of Simon Orange and Marcus Clutton by just 0.001s.

Jarrod Waberski and Alex Martin, aiming to recover from a difficult weekend at the previous round in Snetterton, were seventh in the second of the Barwell Motorsport Lamborghinis. A strong result this weekend would ensure that the title goes down to the wire at Brands Hatch at the end of September.

Completing the top-10 were 2 Seas Motorsport’s Kevin Tse and Chris Lulham, Optimum Motorsport’s Marc Warren and Jack Brown and Beechdean Motorsport Ltd’s Ross Gunn and Andrew Howard.

Revie Lake and Blake Angliss were the fastest of the GT4 pack, with a time of 1m34.391s in their McLaren Artura GT4 for Paddock Motorsport.
