Jonathon Beeson and Charles Clark delivered an aggregate pole position for Century Motorsport and will start Sunday’s two-hour British GT Championship race from the front at Donington Park.

While Beeson could only manage fourth in the first Qualifying session, Clark bounced back with an impressive pace in the second segment to pip Barwell Motorsport’s Hugo Cook and Rob Collard to top spot by less than a tenth of a second.

Joining them in the top three was the other Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2 of Alex Martin and Jarrod Waberski, helping to maintain their teams’ hopes of competing for the drivers’ title with two cars.

Despite being top of the pile after first Combined Qualifying session, Optimum Motorsport’s Marc Warren and Jack Brown fell to fourth and will start from the second row. The two were just 0.036s ahead of the fellow Optimum Motorsport McLaren 720s GT3 Evo of Morgan Tillbrook and Ben Barnicoat, who are top of the championship.

Chris Lulham set a 1m25.528s - the fastest time of the day, but that was only good enough for sixth in the 2 Seas Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo that he shares with Kevin Tse. Their 2 Seas Motorsport teammates will line-up just behind them, after Aaron Walker and Charles Dawson crossed the line with a combined lap time good enough for seventh.

Marcus Clutton and Simon Orange were eighth in their Orange Racing by JMH McLaren 720s Evo, followed by Beechdean Motorsport Ltd’s Ross Gunn and Andrew Howard in ninth and Rodin Motorsport’s Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo of Joshua Buchan and Cameron Campbell in tenth.

Thomas Holland and Hadley Simpson will start from pole position in their Innovation Racing Ginetta G56 GT4 Evo in GT4, after beating Jack Mitchell and Luke Shaw of Toro Verde GT by just 0.064s.
